《2004-2005 China software industry research report》简介:

Software industry scale achieves 230 billion yuan in 2004, including software exports 21.5 billion yuan, these two number grew 43.7% and 30.3% compared to last year separately.

Currently, Chinese software industry has to face one main question. The total quantity of the software talent falls short of demand and the structure is not reasonable. There are 720 thousand persons employed in this industry, it’s 100 thousand positions lacked in 2004. We expect that the situation will change better in 2005, the number of the gap of talent will reduce to 80 thousand.

In china, there are 3,000 IT training organizations totally at the end of year 2004. Over 100 ones own several training centers. The scale of Chinese IT training market is 4.302 billion yuan in 2004, it grows 17.3% with compares in 2003. The main markets are North China, East China and Southwest China. The share of North China is the biggest, it’s 27.7%. But the share of Northeast China, Northwest China, Central China and the Southwest China is all below 10.0%. With the great development of west region and central government’s breathing new life into Northeast China, thinks that IT education training in west and northeastern region will have the considerable progress, it will be IT training investment hot area.

In 2004, 2,129 software enterprises are certificated in 2004, there 10,607 software enterprises are certificated by the end of 2004. 17 ones are assessed at CMM level and CMMI5 level in 2004, 12 ones are assessed at CMM4 level, 73 ones are assessed at CMM3 level.
